To promote diversified use of public spaces and deepen railway cultural value, Taiwan Railways Corporation has recently launched a cross-sector collaboration with the New Taipei City Art Museum. By introducing curatorial expertise into railway environments, station spaces originally focused on transportation functions are being transformed into public spaces that combine cultural presentation and everyday aesthetics, offering travelers a new journey experience.
Taiwan Railways stated that in recent years it has continuously promoted station revitalization policies, aiming not only to optimize passenger services and functionality but also to enable stations to respond to urban life needs and become approachable public spaces in daily life. This collaboration does not focus on commercial advertising but instead integrates artistic expertise into transportation nodes, enhancing overall spatial quality and cultural identity.
Located near Yingge Station, the New Taipei City Art Museum can be easily reached via the railway system and serves as an important transportation hub for visiting cultural venues. Both parties noted that this collaboration will further strengthen the spatial connection between the station and the museum, allowing art to move beyond gallery walls and naturally integrate into travel routes and everyday urban life.

Taiwan Railways emphasized that stations, as key places where people gather and move, possess strong potential for developing public cultural value, while art can add greater depth and warmth to spaces. In the future, Taiwan Railways and the New Taipei City Art Museum will continue to explore further cross-sector collaboration opportunities, creating public spaces that integrate transportation, culture, and tourism, and inviting the public to experience art through rail travel while appreciating the diverse cultural landscape of the city.
