With over 14% of Taiwan&rsquos population aged 65 or older-equivalent to more than 3.22 million people&mdashthe country has officially entered an aged society. As muscle strength declines and mobility decreases, many seniors face worsening chronic illnesses due to inactivity. Encouraging consistent exercise has become a crucial health issue.

Founded seven years ago, Long Good Inc. developed an interactive rehabilitation software that allows users to "see themselves" through Kinect motion-sensing technology combined with a game-based interface. Business manager Liang Tsu-Ying explains that seniors feel curious and happy when they see their movements displayed on screen, which increases their willingness to adjust, concentrate, and stay engaged in rehab exercises.Seniors Need Joy! Meanwhile, True Medical Group focuses on passive exercise, creating equipment like isokinetic machines and rhythmic movement devices designed for seniors with limited mobility. CEO Shen Tzu-Ting emphasizes that maintaining physical activity can prevent health deterioration and reduce the risk of disability or sarcopenia.

Long Good also launched a gait analysis system to help detect early abnormalities and promote preventive care. Both companies aim to combine technology and medicine to make senior exercise safer, more engaging, and more sustainable&mdashtruly embodying the principle that prevention is better than cure.
