Tainan University recently established the "New Immigrant Alumni Association in Taiwan" to provide diverse support for overseas students who remain in Taiwan for career development, entrepreneurship, and cultural adaptation. The association aims to create an international alumni exchange platform and demonstrate long-term support for international and overseas alumni.
The inaugural president, Liang Chunxia, an Indonesian alumna from the Class of 1999 in the Department of Education, was appointed to lead the association. During her studies at Tainan University, she gained extensive expertise in education. After graduation, she remained in Taiwan to actively promote international cultural exchange and diversity. Liang emphasized that the association will serve as a vital bridge between alumni and the university while also offering strong support for alumni to achieve their dreams.
The founding ceremony attracted participation from alumni, faculty, students, and local community members, creating a lively atmosphere. Tainan University President Chen Huiping stated that since its founding, the university has cultivated numerous outstanding talents through its excellent educational quality and diverse academic environment. Establishing this alumni association further strengthens the university’s international outlook, deepens alumni connections, and enhances collaboration between the university and the global community. Moving forward, the Alumni Service Center will organize job fairs, cultural exchange events, and industry-academia collaboration programs to facilitate the integration of overseas alumni into Taiwanese society, injecting new energy into Taiwan's multicultural development.
