As graduation season begins, many young people are preparing to enter the workforce but remain uncertain about which career path to pursue or how to land their first job. Taiwan's Ministry of Labor offers career planning, resume review, mock interviews, and employment services to help graduates strengthen their job readiness and make a smoother transition into the workplace.

According to the Ministry of Labor's survey on employment among workers aged 15 to 29, the biggest challenge for first-time job seekers is not knowing what type of work suits them, followed by limited work experience and insufficient resume-writing or interview skills. These findings suggest that many young people need career guidance rather than simply more job opportunities.

To address these needs, the Ministry has established five Youth Career Development Centers across Taiwan, providing free career counseling, resume reviews, mock interviews, company visits, and other employment support services. It also offers online resources, including the Jobooks Career Encyclopedia, career interest assessments, and the Youth Career Consultation Platform, allowing young people to explore career options and receive professional advice anytime.

The Ministry also continues to promote the Youth Employment Support Program, offering eligible young job seekers personalized career counseling, job matching services, job-search allowances, and employment incentives. By making full use of these resources, graduates can improve their competitiveness, reduce the pressure of job hunting, and build a stronger foundation for their future careers.
