This year’s Wan An Exercise (萬安演習) will be divided into three regions: the North, Central, and South. On July 27, the central region will be put into action from 13:30 to 14:00. The Miaoli County Police Department has specially recorded a short promotional video in six languages, including English, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Indonesian, and Thai, reminding the public to pay attention and cooperation matters in order to prevent foreign students, new immigrants, and migrant workers from being unclear about the relevant regulations of the exercise.

The Wan An Exercise (萬安演習) this year will be different from years past, according to the Miaoli County Police Department. The driver and passengers did not need to exit the moving car when they heard the air defense siren, they could just put off on the side of the road. The driver and passengers must follow the instructions of law enforcement and civil defense workers to reach the closest air defense evacuation and shelter facilities.

The Miaoli County Police Department also emphasized to the general public that they must follow the instructions of the law enforcement and civil defense workers during the exercise. They will be penalized between NT$30,000 and NT$150,000 in line with Article 25 of the Civil Defense Act if they still refuse to comply after being convinced.
