The second event will take place on June 8 at the Yuanshan Flora Expo Pavilion, combining markets with four hands-on courses that cover product optimization, brand packaging, and more. Fake Voting Scam! Woman's LINE Account Hacked, Criminal Investigation Bureau Urges Upgrade to Prevent Hacking

The Criminal Investigation Bureau recently strengthened its campaign to warn the public against fake voting scams. Scammers often impersonate friends or relatives, luring victims to click links and enter their LINE account, password, and mobile verification code. They then hijack the account by logging out of other devices and changing the password, locking out the original user. Recently, a woman surnamed Chang was tricked while helping vote for a "pet photography contest." Her personal information was stolen, her LINE account hacked, and used to scam her contacts. The Bureau advises upgrading LINE to version 15.4 or above, which includes a new feature allowing users to recover their account via SMS OTP. They also warn never to enter OTP unless switching devices or registering a new account, and to avoid providing account information in unknown voting or contest activities. Even if messages appear to be from friends, users should verify when personal data or money is involved to avoid falling victim.
