Taiwan High Speed Rail Corporation announced that starting February 2, 2026, it will adjust its timetable and add more late-night services to meet passenger demand and enhance transport capacity. With six additional southbound late-night trains, the total number of weekly services will reach 1,134, further strengthening evening return travel options.

The highlight of this adjustment is a new stopping pattern. Train No. 1985 will depart from Nangang Station at 10:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, stopping only at Taipei and Banqiao before running directly to Tainan and then to Zuoying. Travel time from Taipei to Tainan will be reduced to 83 minutes, and to Zuoying to 95 minutes, providing faster late-night return options for passengers traveling to Tainan and Kaohsiung. In addition, Train No. 1575 will operate on Saturday nights at 10:30 p.m., stopping at Taipei, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, and Taichung, increasing itinerary flexibility for central and southern metropolitan areas.

THSRC stated that, as the new services operate late at night, flexible stopping patterns have been adopted to shorten travel times. Passengers are reminded to check stopping stations carefully when traveling at night to avoid missing their destinations. Tickets for the new timetable have been available for purchase since January 5, 2026, in accordance with the advance booking schedule.
