The 10th Railway Bento Festival hosted by Taiwan Railways will be held from June 6 to 9 at the multifunctional exhibition hall on the first floor of Taipei Main Station. This year coincides with the 10th birthday of the mascots &ldquoTielu&rdquo and &ldquoHanna-chan.&rdquo To celebrate, Taiwan Railways held a birthday party and press conference on May 29 to kick off the event.
In celebration of this &ldquoPerfect 10&rdquo anniversary, the festival will feature interactive zones including KATO dynamic train models from Japan, Yuanshan Ali model displays, train-themed building blocks, pull-back cars, and gacha toy machines. There will also be a special photo booth (NT$100 per session) featuring Tielu and Hanna-chan for family fun.
To showcase local Taiwanese culture, a special craft beer&mdash&ldquoGuava Mango Orange Ale&rdquo&mdashblending guava, mango, and orange juices is launched for the first time, evoking flavors of traditional Taiwanese banquets. It is priced at NT$180 per bottle and NT$350 per gift set. During the event, visitors aged 18 and above can enjoy a free tasting by presenting their ID and a valid purchase receipt.
A variety of limited-edition merchandise will be available, including themed EasyCards, shoulder bags, traditional woven totes, and mascot keychains. The much-anticipated &ldquo2025 Smile Champion Train&rdquo N-scale model will also be released for the first time, limited to 30 sets at NT$13,800 each, with a numbered card included (limit 2 sets per person).
To reward model collectors, those who spend over NT$5,000 on KATO items at the event will receive one of 100 limited-edition lucky charm train tickets (red or green). Other popular series like &ldquoSea Breeze,&rdquo &ldquoMountain Mist,&rdquo &ldquoChu-Kuang Express,&rdquo and &ldquoBlue Train&rdquo will also debut new items, including a limited 50-set ceramic bento box set (originally NT$998, now NT$799).
Taiwan Railways members also enjoy exclusive perks. On the first three days (6/6&ndash6/8), spending over NT$399 and presenting the TRA member app and purchase receipt will earn one free gift.
