The Pearl S. Buck Foundation (賽珍珠基金會) recently organized the “2022 Heartwarming Party for Immigrants & their children” to channel the funds raised into helping children in various ways, including having reunion dinners, subsidies for education, and red envelopes. The purpose is to encourage children to study hard amid the pandemic.

Huang Shan-shan (黃珊珊), the Deputy Mayor of Taipei City, has adopted 2 children in this foundation. She attended to party and showed her support to families and children, hoping they can feel the sense of belonging in this friendly city.

Since 2006, the Pearl S. Buck Foundation has been holding “Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner” for underprivileged immigrant families and carry out fundraising event for them. Due to the COVID-19, the foundation chose to provide vouchers for them to dine in or take out. To show gratitude to all walks of life who have made donations, and witness children’s achievement.

You Ying Fu (尤英夫), the Chairman of the Pearl S. Buck Foundation stated that education for immigrant’s children is getting more attention during these years. She also said that the foundation will openly, transparently, properly, and honestly use the donations to provide learning opportunities to those in need.
