Taiwan is facing an aging society and the problem of the aging population is becoming more and more serious. Many new immigrants have entered Taiwan's long-term care industry. In response, Kao Yuan University (高苑科技大學) held an achievements exhibition for the "University Social Responsibility Project" (社會責任實踐計畫), with the theme of "Love and Care" (愛與關懷). the The Kao Yuan University project team filmed the "Documentary of the Lives of New Immigrants' from Southeast Asia" (東南亞新住民生活紀實) to share with the public the stories of new immigrants from different countries working in Taiwan.

Kao Yuan University stated that in the micro-film "The Lives of New Immigrants from Southeast Asia", "Shu and Ni’s Cambodian New Year" (淑與妮的柬埔寨新年) first describes the new immigrants from Cambodia. Yang Shu Mei (楊淑梅) recalls the cultural differences between the New Year in her hometown and the New Year in Taiwan. "AYU, come on" (AYU 來吧) tells of Indonesian Lin Didi (林娣蒂), a new immigrant in Taiwan, and the process of her development after getting married in Taiwan. Because of her love for Indonesian traditional dance, she led the second-generation of children to promote Indonesian culture and teaching activities.

In addition, the school project’s achievements exhibition was co-organized with the Yaliao Community Development Association (鴨寮社區發展協會), inviting new immigrants from Indonesia, Kang Shan Community University’s (岡山社區大學) Taiwanese, Vietnamese, Taivoan aboriginals (小林原住民), and community elders to display the exotic cultures through dance to show the beauty of different cultures. We look forward to co-hosting multicultural experiences by the school and the community, creating a diverse cultural learning environment, and promoting the common good and prosperity of the university and the community.
