2021Taiwan Lantern Festival was originally canceled due to prevent the coronavirus pandemic from spreading in Taiwan. Starting from now, the Hsinchu Confucius Temple displays 300 stunning lanterns.
According to The China Post, the Hsinchu City government announced that the original event will be transformed into the “2021 Light Coming” arts festival this summer.
Prior to the “Light Coming” festival to be held on July 9, the city is also displaying lanterns at the Confucius Square, and has hinted that a bazaar will be held as a “warm–up” for the festival.
Now on till May 2, over 300 sets of lanterns will be displayed at the plaza in front of Hsinchu’s Confucius Temple.

The China Post mentions, many of the lantern creations have already appeared and will be lit every night from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., becoming the most beautiful spot in Hsinchu at night.
On the weekends of April 24 and May 1, street performers and student groups will perform around the square, and a “Cultural and Creative Market” with more than 80 booths will be held from 3:00 p.m. onwards, allowing people to stroll around until the evening to enjoy the lights.
