To revitalize tourism in Hualien, the Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Transportation launched a 90% discount on "Taiwan Tour Bus" Hualien package tours starting from New Year's Day, receiving an overwhelming response. On May 7, the administration announced that the discount would be adjusted to 70% starting May 19 and extended until the end of October. However, travelers who have completed their reservation and payment before May 19 can still enjoy the original 90% discount, ensuring consumer rights protection.
The Tourism Administration stated that it has collaborated with 20 travel agencies to launch 77 discounted "Taiwan Tour Bus" itineraries covering Taiwan's top 100 attractions. Apart from the Hualien special offer, other regions can still enjoy the "Buy 2, Get 1 Free" deal until the end of October. Additionally, in line with the "Taiwan’s Top 100 Attractions" and the Island Tour Monthly Party campaign, an additional 70% discount will be offered quarterly on selected county tours, encouraging both domestic and international tourists to explore Taiwan's unique attractions.

To welcome the 2025 Taiwan Lantern Festival, the Tourism Administration has also introduced four exclusive "Taiwan Lantern Festival" tour packages, offering a 70% discount with daily departures during the festival. These tours not only take visitors to the Taiwan Lantern Festival but also connect them with nearby attractions in Taoyuan, Hsinchu, and Miaoli, allowing travelers to enjoy the stunning winter scenery of northern Taiwan. The tours require a minimum of four participants per group and can be customized according to different themes.
