In his Ramadan message, Marcos Jr. urged his listeners to cleanse their souls against the dangers of material pleasures and to seek forgiveness and serenity in light of the spiritual conviction that the doorway of Heaven is open during this holy month.
He went on to say that now is a good time to practice the virtues of discipline, reverence, and humility during this period of fasting, prayer, and almsgiving.
Let us remember people who are suffering from hunger, natural disasters, and difficult situations in our daily prayers, Marcos Jr. stated, in addition to praising God for answered prayers and pleading for continued mercies.
Regardless of faith, the Ramadan rituals and services serve as a reminder of our shared moral responsibility to treat one another with kindness, uphold human dignity, and show unity.
