According to PH, Estonia to sign memorandum for cybersecurity | Global News (inquirer.net), Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) announced a collaboration between the Philippines and Estonia to boost cybersecurity and digital technologies.

According to a statement posted on the agency's Facebook page on September 14, Ivan John E. Uy, secretary of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), informed Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas at the Tallinn Digital Summit on September 5 that the Philippines is drafting an MOU for their cooperation.

According to Secretary Uy, the proposed MOU between the Philippines and Estonia will open the door for potential deals in other ICT areas, promote the government's digital transformation, and strengthen the nation's cybersecurity posture.

Additionally, Uy mentioned that the DICT intends to set rules for the application of artificial technology.
