Travelers looking for a different way to explore Taiwan's North Coast now have a new option. The New Taipei City Government has launched the “Youth Mountain and Sea Line” double-decker sightseeing bus tour, combining coastal scenery, popular attractions, and guided travel experiences while also offering views of the Tamsui Bridge scheduled to open in 2026.
According to the city government, the original tour price is NT$2,188, with a limited-time promotional price of NT$988. The first tour departed on May 12, and buses will continue operating every Saturday and Sunday through an online reservation system.
One of the tour's highlights is the special route passing the Tamsui Bridge, allowing passengers to enjoy close-up views of the bridge design and Tamsui sunset scenery from the open-top double-decker bus. The route also connects well-known North Coast attractions including Wanli Happiness Plaza, Venus Coast, Yehliu Geopark, Jinshan Old Street, Fugui Cape Lighthouse, and Zhilan Scenic Platform.

New Taipei City Mayor Hou You-yi previously joined a test ride to experience the sightseeing route and guided tour service. The city government hopes the panoramic bus service will further promote North Coast tourism and prepare for new tourism opportunities after the opening of the Tamsui Bridge.
In addition to mountain and sea scenery, the tour also incorporates low-carbon travel concepts, environmental education, and local cultural experiences, allowing visitors to better understand the character and lifestyle of Taiwan's North Coast.
