By using board games to stimulate thinking and interaction, community health promotion activities are taking on new forms. The Taipei Datong District Health Service Center will roll out the "Memory Together • Board Game Nations" program from late April to early July, targeting seniors aged 65 and above. The program integrates cognitive training and social participation, allowing seniors to maintain mental activity and daily routines in familiar community settings through a more relaxed and engaging approach.

The program is jointly organized by the Taipei Datong District Health Service Center and local community sites. It takes board games as the core design element, combined with nostalgic music movement, aromatherapy, and oral health exercises. During participation, seniors are encouraged to think, speak, and interact with others. Through structured game design, attention, memory, and decision-making abilities are gradually strengthened, allowing training to be naturally integrated into daily life rather than limited to a single type of course.

Clinical psychologists and fitness professionals are also involved in the program, adjusting the content according to participants’ conditions so that frail or mildly disabled seniors can also take part. The courses are designed as a series to enhance continuity and encourage sustained participation. By integrating community resources, the program becomes part of seniors’ daily life arrangements, helping maintain both social interaction and physical and mental well-being.

In addition to cognitive training, the program encourages seniors to take on facilitator roles during activities, enhancing their sense of achievement and self-worth. Enrollment is limited and available until full. Interested participants may call 02-258532277 ext. 6637 for further information, supporting seniors in maintaining interaction and daily routines within the community.
