President Tsai Ing-wen posted a question on her Facebook page, asking “How many zeros are there in a trillion, can anyone tell me without searching on Google, tell me in the comment!”
The reason President Tsai posted this question is to share the good news with the public. According to statistics done by the Ministry of Finance, in a single month this year (March 2021), Taiwan’s monthly exports have reached 35.89 billion U.S. dollars, which is more than one trillion Taiwan dollars!

President Tsai mentions Taiwan has reached many excellent scores in 2021, there are three highlights. One is Taiwan’s export has reached one trillion in a single month. Two is the export rate has been growing for nine continuous months. Three is the export rate has increased 27.1％ compared to the rate in March last year (2020).
In the end, President Tsai thanks every Taiwanese citizen for keeping the economy running during the coronavirus together. With this effort, together Taiwan has created a new export milestone.
President Tsai encourages the public that even though there might be more challenges in the future, as long as Taiwan keeps an excellent score, Taiwan can overcome the future challenges.
