Singapore Airshow 2022 starts from February 15 to 18, displaying latest technologies

According to The Straits Times, ST Engineering, a global technology, defense, and engineering company, will be the largest exhibitor at the Singapore Airshow 2022, which will take place from February 15 to 18. On display are some of the company's most recent technologies.

Terrex Hybrid

The most recent version of the infantry combat vehicle can launch drones and robots and serve as a command center.

Drone-collected intelligence might be shared with soldiers on the ground to improve situational awareness. The use of an electric car allows for more covert activities.

Air conditioning that can be worn

The Arc is a battery-powered device worn over the shoulders that is designed to cool the neck and face areas and improve comfort.

This could be beneficial to persons whose jobs expose them to the risk of heat stress, such as soldiers or healthcare personnel who wear PPE.

Biometric gate with no contact

This can be used at airports to allow passengers to check in using facial recognition and iris scanning without having to make physical contact with the gate. Travelers must register their biometric data as well as their passport.

Drones for distribution from ship to shore

ST Engineering will collaborate with a few partners to deploy drones to transport goods weighing up to 7kg, including documents and cash, from land to sea.

For such urgent deliveries, using drones instead of launch boats can save time and minimize carbon emissions.
