Flames now meet interactive light along Jinshan's coast. The 2026 North Coast Tides and Fire festival is underway in Jinshan, New Taipei City, featuring a new "Coming True" Fire Group production every Saturday and 3 AI installations inspired by coastal scenery and local culture.
The new show, "Formosa Blaze - Galloping Stallions", blends Taiwanese culture with flames, movement and stage effects. Members have appeared on "America's Got Talent" and "Britain's Got Talent". Each limited performance at Zhongjiao Bay runs about 30 minutes.
"Realm of Lingering Light" spans the Zhongjiao Bay International Surfing Base and Zhongshan Hot Spring Park. Ming Chi University of Technology transformed sulfuric fire fishing, waves and sunsets, and the Fish Road Historic Trail into 3 AI interactive works, allowing visitors to explore Jinshan through light.
The Zhongjiao Bay Ocean Market features nearly 30 vendors. Spending NT$300 qualifies visitors for an online scratch-card game. Those who clean the beach independently can exchange collected marine waste for vouchers worth NT$100 per kilogram, up to NT$300.
The festival runs through August 23. Fire shows begin every Saturday at 7:00 p.m., followed by light shows at 8:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Details are available on the official website.
