Dozens of boxes containing Nazi-related material, originally confiscated by Argentine authorities during World War II, were recently rediscovered in the basement of the Supreme Court. The 83 boxes were shipped from the German embassy in Tokyo to Argentina in June 1941 aboard the Japanese vessel &ldquoNan-a-Maru.&rdquo At the time, customs officials inspected several boxes and found Nazi propaganda, postcards, photographs, and thousands of Nazi party notebooks. A federal judge confiscated the items and referred them to the Supreme Court. It&rsquos unclear what action the court took back then. Now, ahead of a new museum project, court staff uncovered the boxes again. The court has transferred the materials to a secured room and invited the Buenos Aires Holocaust Museum to assist in preservation and cataloging. Experts will also analyze the contents for clues about the Nazi regime&rsquos international activities.Nazi-related material that was originally confiscated by local authorities when it was shipped to Argentina in 1941.
