Manyueyuan National Forest Recreation Area in Sanxia District, New Taipei City, is famous for its magnificent Manyueyuan Waterfall and Virgin Waterfall, attracting numerous visitors every summer to escape the heat. The park has recorded as many as 193 species of butterflies, accounting for nearly half of Taiwan&rsquos total butterfly species, earning it the nickname &ldquoButterfly Valley of Northern Taiwan.&rdquo Summer marks the peak of butterfly activity, where visitors can see fritillaries fluttering, swallowtails dancing among the flowers, and hairstreaks resting on tree branches or dewdrops, with colorful scenes everywhere.Manyueyuan is rich in butterfly ecological resources (Provided by Manyueyuan Visitor Center) (Photo from the Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency Website)
