Hosted by the Taichung Coastal Tourism Development Association and sponsored by the Taichung City Government Information Bureau, the 2025 Coastal Rock Music Festival will take place on August 23&ndash24 at Mitsui OUTLET Park in Wuqi. This year&rsquos event is fully upgraded, with ticket collection required for the first time. It also features local vendors and specialty products to create a summer celebration of music, tourism, and local revitalization.

Bureau Director Joanne Luan stated that the city government has long supported the balanced development of the pop music industry. This year&rsquos grants cover mountain, coastal, suburban, and urban areas, spreading music to every corner of Taichung. In recent years, the coastal region has seen a boom in music activities, with festivals helping unite local businesses and showcase unique cultural charm, attracting music lovers to explore the coast.

According to the bureau, the festival was initiated by local enterprises. Its debut in 2024 drew over 10,000 attendees and sparked a summer music wave. This year&rsquos lineup is even stronger, featuring Golden Melody Award nominee Mango Jump, Gongguan Youth, Crude Band, as well as international rock bands, Japanese idols, hip-hop artists, and anime DJs.
