A Canadian study once found that when people feel anxious, smelling their partner&rsquos scent can ease anxiety &mdash even the smell on their clothes works. In contrast, smelling a stranger&rsquos scent may actually heighten stress. Everyone has a unique body odor that either draws others closer or drives them away. According to dermatological studies from Japan and the U.S., human skin begins to age after 40. When sebum reacts with sweat, dead skin cells, and omega-7 fatty acids, it oxidizes and forms a substance called 2-Nonenal. This compound is hard to wash off &mdash even after showering or laundering, unpleasant odors may linger.

Ways to reduce body odor include:

Adjusting your diet: Reduce animal fats like lard and butter eat antioxidant-rich foods with vitamins A, C, and E.
Exercising regularly: Sweating helps detoxify the body, relieves stress, and reduces odor.
Maintaining healthy routines: Stay hydrated, sleep early, avoid smoking and alcohol, and practice good hygiene.
Improving ventilation: Keep your living space airy to prevent odor buildup.
