Planning summer activities has become an important consideration for many families. Compared to indoor options, nature-based experiences are gaining popularity. The Aowanda Nature Education Center is launching two four-day, three-night programs, “Forest Explorer” and “Wild FUN Camp,” combining ecological observation, outdoor challenges, and group-based learning.
The “Forest Explorer” program focuses on task-based challenges such as map navigation, tree climbing, and basic survival skills, helping participants develop logical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Meanwhile, “Wild FUN Camp” emphasizes wildlife observation through the use of infrared cameras and field survey tools to better understand animal behavior.
All activities are conducted in small groups with a high instructor-to-student ratio, ensuring that each participant receives sufficient guidance. This approach also allows children to build teamwork and confidence through hands-on experiences in nature.
Two sessions will be held in mid and late July. Registration is now open, with early-bird discounts available for those who sign up before the end of May.
