The Alishan National Scenic Area Administration of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications Tourism Administration (hereinafter referred to as Alishan Administration) is celebrating the 19th anniversary of the "Wedding Under the Alishan Sacred Tree" event. This year, the event has been recognized as an international-level activity in the Taiwan Tourism Events Calendar. On February 19, the Alishan Administration held a press conference at the Tourism Service Center of the Tourism Administration, announcing the theme for this year's event: "Romantic Alishan – Walking Towards Happiness Together", attracting numerous distinguished guests and media representatives to witness the moment.

During the press conference, Deputy Director-General of the Tourism Administration, Huang He-Ting, Director of Alishan Administration, Huang Shi-Fang, and representatives from relevant organizations jointly lit up a symbolic lightbox, marking the official launch of this year’s romantic journey. For the first time, the Alishan Administration is transforming the "Starlight Wedding" into a "Starlight Wedding Journey", scheduled to take place from April 17 to 19. Participants can enjoy a romantic Alishan trip, staying at a five-star hotel for NT$9,999, while experiencing Alishan’s three major tourism systems.

Additionally, the Fenqihu Old Street will host a special "Encountering the Mountain City – Nighttime Glamour" event, where couples can dress in cheongsam (qipao) or traditional attire and stroll through the nostalgic streets, immersing themselves in the charming night ambiance of the historic mountain town. The event is open for registration now and will accept sign-ups until March 11.

To strengthen cross-industry collaboration, the Alishan Administration is partnering with various wedding and hospitality brands, including WeddingDay Wedding Market, Chichis Wedding Accessories Online Platform, George Max American Wedding & Bridal, My Party Handmade Wedding Dresses, Fleur Lis Hotel, Jin Fang Wedding, Hei Dou Sang, Alishan Indigo Hotel, and Alishan House. Deputy Director-General Huang He-Ting emphasized that the Wedding Under the Sacred Tree is not just a dream wedding for couples but also a showcase of Alishan’s natural beauty and cultural charm. In 2024, Alishan was selected by The New York Times as one of the 52 Places to Go Worldwide—the only destination in Taiwan to be featured. Through this wedding event, more people can experience the romantic atmosphere of Alishan. This year, the event also incorporates the "Taiwan Tourist Shuttle 3.0" initiative, encouraging visitors to explore Alishan conveniently via public transportation.

Additionally, the Alishan Administration has planned a series of romantic events, including the "1314 Little Tea Gathering" on March 14, the "Rose Qixi (Chinese Valentine's Day) Tour," and the annual grand event "Wedding Under the Sacred Tree", scheduled for October 19-20, inviting more couples to join in the celebration and witness love blossom in Alishan.
