Spring events in Nantou are gradually unfolding, with the “2026 Nantou Hakka Carnival” scheduled to open on April 18. The program integrates flower viewing, music, and performing arts, extending from spring into summer, allowing visitors to plan trips at different times while combining tourism with cultural experiences to form a continuous activity route.

The series begins with the Tung Blossom Festival from April to May, integrating resources from Guoxing Township, Zhongliao Township, Nantou City, and Shuili Township. Multiple hiking and forest experience routes are introduced, including Bagua Mountain trails as well as itineraries in Shuili and Zhongliao, combined with guided tours and local storytelling to help participants better understand Hakka settlements and cultural features during flower viewing.

A key highlight is the “Hakka Blue” picnic concert on May 16, held at Zhongxing New Village Family Park. The event combines live music performances, markets, and outdoor picnic formats, and includes interactive games, DIY experiences, and lucky draws. A NT$499 picnic package is also available, including a foldable shopping cart, market vouchers, and a variety of local snacks, offering convenient participation options.

Subsequent activities extend into summer. The Hakka singing competition will take place on June 13 at the Nantou County Cultural Affairs Bureau, with individual and group categories, and registration open until May 22 at 17:00. In mid-July, children’s theater groups will present interactive Hakka-language performances, combined with markets and craft activities.
