To help dual-income families avoid having to choose between career and raising children, the Ministry of Labor has introduced the Enterprise Childcare 333 Program, which will officially launch on May 1, 2026. The government plans to allocate NT$142.4 million to support companies in establishing childcare facilities or improving childcare services. The “333” refers to three strategies: relaxing subsidy requirements, increasing subsidy funding, and adding new subsidy items so companies can plan childcare services more flexibly.

The policy includes childcare subsidies, childcare facilities and measures, temporary assistance spaces, and subsidies for childcare personnel costs. It is open to businesses of all sizes and particularly encourages small enterprises to participate. Over the past year, 476 companies benefited from related subsidies totaling NT$36.34 million, helping 12,947 employees solve childcare needs and supporting women returning to the workforce.

The new system also relaxes several previous requirements. Children are no longer required to attend specific childcare institutions, and limits on childcare facilities have been removed, allowing companies to use subsidies more flexibly.

Companies may provide childcare subsidies of up to NT$10,000 per employee each year, while childcare facilities and related measures can receive up to NT$1 million in annual subsidies. New subsidies for childcare personnel and operational costs have also been introduced to support long-term childcare services.

Medical institutions that establish infant care centers may also apply for subsidies and professional guidance. Once established, these centers not only meet employees’ childcare needs but also help stabilize the healthcare workforce.
