Following recent heavy rainfall and flooding, Hsinchu City has introduced expanded flood relief measures based on the principles of flexible eligibility and simplified applications. Qualified tenants are now included in the subsidy program, with applications accepted through July 31 to support post-disaster recovery.

The program applies to residential flooding caused by the June 26 rainstorm. Households with floodwater reaching 20 centimeters or more may apply if they meet the eligibility requirements. In addition to registered homeowners, tenants living in affected residences are now eligible, broadening access to disaster assistance.

Relief payments vary according to flood depth, with subsidies of up to NT$25,000. The inclusion of tenants marks a major policy change, providing financial support for more affected households.

Eligible applicants should submit photographs of the flooding, identification documents and other required materials to their local district office before July 31. Tenants must also provide a valid lease agreement for verification.
