Cingjing Farm, Ren'ai Township, Nantou County, is famous for its adorable sheep. Recently, the farm has introduced a new attraction: 10 clay sheep sculptures gifted by Taipower's Manda Power Plant. These white clay sheep, which neither move nor eat grass, are made from the silt of Wushe Reservoir. This initiative not only beautifies the environment but also promotes the importance of environmental conservation.

Cingjing Farm stated that the 10 clay sheep were crafted from the silt accumulated in Wushe Reservoir. After undergoing a firing process, the silt was transformed into these cute sheep, enhancing the scenic beauty and serving as excellent materials for environmental education. The clay sheep will be placed at the National Guesthouse and other attractions, allowing visitors to appreciate their adorable shapes while learning about the importance of environmental conservation and forest preservation. Some of these clay sheep will be showcased at the "Sheep Balloon" event at the end of July, bringing additional surprises to visitors.Cingjing Farm's "Sheep Show" is highly popular among visitors. Wushe Reservoir, which began construction in 1939 and was completed in 1957, has a total capacity of 140 million cubic meters. Known for its elegant and picturesque scenery, with emerald-green waters, it is praised as the "Emerald Lake." However, in the past 30 years, sedimentation has become a severe problem. As of April this year, the effective capacity of Wushe Reservoir has dropped below 30 million cubic meters, with only 28.68 million cubic meters remaining, a significant decrease from last year's 36.82 million cubic meters by 8.14 million cubic meters.

Through the creation and display of the clay sheep, Taipower's Manda Power Plant and Cingjing Farm jointly promote the importance of environmental conservation, hoping to raise awareness and inspire more action towards addressing environmental issues. Cingjing Farm continues to combine education and entertainment in innovative ways, ensuring that visitors enjoy the beautiful scenery and cute animals while deeply understanding the importance of protecting the natural environment.

At Cingjing Farm, visitors can see the endearing Valais Blacknose sheep known as the "Smile Sheep" and interact closely with these unique clay sheep. Through these engaging activities, visitors can learn more about environmental conservation, making for an enjoyable and educational experience.
