Pingtung County Government tourism short film receives JWTFF award

Pingtung County Government released an annual tourism short film named “Pingtung, Always One Celsius Warmer”(屏東，總是多一度). This short film won the Good Film award at the Japan World’s Tourism Film Festival in 2021 (JWTFF).
Becoming the second film after Sea and light Sea & Light（Let’s meet in Pingtung!） to receive international recognition from the JWTFF award.
Starting from 2019, JWTFF is held for the third time until 2021. This year, “Pingtung, Always One Celsius Warmer” is one of the 1207 entries of the festival. Pingtung, Always One Celsius Warmer” focuses on the local scenery and people in Pingtung.
In the short film, award-winning Taiwanese actress Wen Chen-Ling guides people through the local sites in Pingtung, includes Pingtung’s local natural landscape, religious beliefs, local snacks, and night markets.
The film stood out from many competitors and won the Good film award in the JWTFF.
The Deputy County Mayor of Pingtung Country Pan Meng-an mentions, the “Pingtung, Always One Celsius Warmer” tourism short film also revived many other awards in international festivals. Including the ART&TUR - International Tourism Film Festival Portugal, Summit Creative Award.
Pan also says that international tourists are welcome to visit Pingtung and discover the natural landscape and local culture in Pingtung.
