Chiayi pharmacy provides foreigner-friendly services in English, Vietnamese, Indonesian
As the nation-wide epidemic prevention have been implemented comprehensively, local pharmacies also work with the government to provide masks for the public. The Seven Star Pharmacy in Chiayi has provided multilingual services for new immigrants, migrant workers, and their children for several decades to obtain proper advice and services when purchasing medicines.
The second-generation pharmacists of the Seven Star Pharmacy, Pharmacist Wu and Pharmacist Yang, have served a great number of new residents, migrant workers, and children, including a Vietnamese store's owner who cares about migrant workers' rights. Recently, the Seven Star Pharmacy works with Khuôn viên văn hoá Việt Nam 越在嘉文化棧's representative, Ruan Jinhong, who is a film director and willing to help the pharmacy to translate into Vietnamese when Vietnamese customers call.
Khuôn viên văn hoá Việt Nam (Vietnamese Cultural Campus in Chiayi) has devoted to enhancing the exchange between Southeast Asia' and Taiwan's culture and often held lectures about Southeast Asian culture, experience course, international language exchange, and Vietnamese learning course, and local handicraft workshop. Also, it provides law services and domestic violence shelters for new immigrants. It is believed that the Seven Star Pharmacy and Vietnamese Cultural Campus in Chiayi will offer more timely assistance for local new residents and migrant workers and jointly fight against the COVI-19 together.
