Applications of 13th TCSA now accepted, showing Taiwan's medical influence
The 13th Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards (TCSA) organized by Taiwan Academy of Corporate Sustainability will be held in late November 2020, combining with the 3rd Global Corporate Sustainability Forum (GCSF). This year, three categories of awards are added, including "Information Security Award", "USR Sustainability Plan Award", and "Hospital HSR Sustainability Plan Award" to manifest the country's medical and social influence.
Given the world has been seriously impacted by the Covid-19, many national firms have been fulfilling their social responsibility from environmental, social, and economic aspects, Chairman of Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE), Jian Youxin, stated. Those firms have launched a series of protective policies for quarantined employees, such as guaranteed minimum income schemes and tracking systems.
To officially affirm environmental protection, social welfare, business management practices that create values of innovation, the 13th TCSA will still be hosted despite the pandemic outbreak, Chairman Jian added.
Three awards will be added this year: "Information Security Award", "USR Sustainability Plan Award", and "Hospital HSR Sustainability Plan Award".
"Information Security Award": To encourage national firms to enhance their implementations of information security.
"USR Sustainability Plan Award": To facilitate universities and colleges to promote social responsibility practices and local placemaking.
"Hospital HSR Sustainability Plan Award": To affirm hospitals' promotions of international medical care for the public and the elderly.
Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards is divided into 4 categories: "Corporate Comprehensive Performance Award", "Best Performance of Specific Category Award", "Corporate Sustainability Report Award", and "Outstanding Corporate Sustainability Professionals Award" to ensure the judging and selection are fair, honest, and transparent. Since 2016, the awards has developed the system of volunteer judges. In 2019, 373 volunteer judges and 115 scholars and experts, for a total of a massive judging pool of 488 members sharing in the evaluation work, to achieve certain objectivity.
