NIA launches multiple payment methods to benefit citizens
To provide more convenient ways for citizens to pay, the National Immigration Agency (NIA) worked with the Executive Yuan to launch multiple mobile payments. From July 1, people will be allowed to use their credit cards and mobile wallets to pay at 25 NIA service centers and 7 airports and ports to avoid mistakes when paying off.
This new service of multiple payments allows citizens to choose different ways to pay, including VISA, Master, and JCB. Administrative costs are all covered by the NIA, the NIA stated.
Apart from credit card payments, citizens can also use mobile payments binding with a credit card such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay to pay. Moreover, "Taiwan Pay" (台灣Pay), a mobile payment method, is also provided for citizens to scan their own QR Code to conduct a mobile payment easily.
The NIA welcomes every citizen to use its latest mobile payment services to pay via credit card, virtual account, Web ATM, four chain convenience stores (7-11, Family Mart, Hi-life, and OK Mart).
