Linkou school-age population increased rapidly, New Taipei City urge to set up new school
Linkou District of New Taipei City has developed rapidly in recent years with a large number of immigrants and school-age population also increased rapidly. New Taipei City education bureau is preparing to set up the 10th National elementary school in Linkou for 2021 academic year, in order to meet the needs of local students to study at school.
New Taipei City mayor, Zhu Li-lun (朱立倫) said that Linkou has become one of the fastest-growing administrative districts in Taipei county. Due to the migration of people from outside, the population has now reached 106,000 people, it exceed the estimated population of 105,000 people for building new school “Xinlin Elementary School” in 2014
Xinlin Elementary School started the operation on April 6, 2017, it is expected to formally enroll students from the first grade to the fourth grade in 2018 academic year, the future can enroll students in 30 elementary class, 5 kindergartens classes, 2 resource classes and 1 special classes (total 38 classes), and the building planning consist of Teaching areas, kindergartens, administrative zone, libraries, stadiums, playgrounds and ecological pools and other diverse learning space.
