Training program for Southeast Asian broadcast talents starts
The 2020 Southeast Asian Broadcast Talents Training Program subsidized by New Immigrant Development Fund has started yesterday (June 6) to recruit new immigrants from Southeast Asian countries.
Chairperson of the Chinese Association for Foreign Spouses and Labors' Voice, Wang Minling (王玟玲), stated that over the past few years, Taiwan and Southeast Asian countries have had close economic exchanges. Also, more and more Southeast Asian migrant workers have come to Taiwan, nearly surpassing a million of people. Therefore, the association particularly hosted the training program to allow new immigrants and migrant workers to speak out through multi-channels and enhance their skills in seeking jobs.
Director of the program, Wu Zongxin (吳宗信), pointed out that given that the pandemic impacts nationwide and worldwide, its recruitment has become more difficult and hoped to empower more Southeast Asian talents from Vietnam, Indonesian, Myanmar, and Cambodia with broadcasting skills, producing channels, and dubbing through this 40-hour course in six weeks.
