Hsinchu Encourages New Residents to Start Their Own Business
Hsinchu Social Affair Bureau published new resident passport for people to go along with the map to find the 12 new residents owned restaurants and craft shops, a new special way to experience diversity culture in Hsinchu.
Mayor of Hsinchu, Lin Chih chien, stated that the new resident family service center located at the 36-year old public housing is too old that caused some inconvenience. So, it is remodeled and newly opened this February. More functional spaces are attracted to new residents to come here for enquiry and exchanges information. And also, the center held many professional oriented courses to help the new residents to start their own business in Hsinchu.
Hsinchu Social Affair Bureau said that there are foods from South East Asia, cuisines from Mainland China, and also all kind of crafts, for example, hand-made bags. Moreover, there are also some beauty shops owned by the new residents. The new resident passport aimed at marketing those new resident businesses and helping them to share their story.
The new resident passport will be distributed in different locations from Nov 20th until Dec 20th, including the main hall of the Hsinchu city hall, New Resident service center, Center for Woman and Parent-Child Center. Meanwhile, publics can download the e-version on the Hsinchu Social Affair Bureau website.
