Taiwan ICT Industry forms a Working Committee for New Southbound Policy
With support from the Industrial Development Bureau of MOEA, Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturer’s Association (TEEMA) formed a “Taiwan ICT Industry New South Link and Settlement Promotion Working Committee”(台灣ICT產業新南向鏈結與聚落推動工作委員會).
TEEMA hopes by creating a complete industrial chain system with countries in Southeast Asia, Taiwan can become a country with high-end manufacturing and research and development abilities.
In the past few years, Taiwan’s ICT industry is actively expanding in countries including China, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, the U.S.-Mexico border, and Central and Eastern Europe. Southeast Asian countries play a crucial role in their global development.
However, Taiwan’s ICT industry faces many difficulties during its development in Southeast Asian countries. Such as there are problems related to labor, land, water, electricity, etc. Also, the supply chain is not complete yet. As a result, the “Taiwan ICT Industry New South Link and Settlement Promotion Working Committee” is founded to help Taiwanese businessmen solve these problems. And to create a more complete ICT industry supply chain system in the Southeast Asian countries.
