Cross-field extracurricular activities to promote multicultural learning through radio
To strengthen extracurricular activities' functions of elementary schools and junior high schools, the K-12 Education Administration of the Ministry of Education works with the National Education Radio (NER) to launch a program named " 52 ideas of extracurricular classes" (五十二個戶外教育好點子). A radio host will take audiences to visit many cities and townships, communities, and tribes and explore historical sites to assist teachers in planning more high-quality courses.
This radio program is designed for elementary school and junior high school students and provides information on extracurricular classes and audio teaching guide that has been widely affirmed by teachers and parents.
The K-12 Education Administration stated that it is hoped to blend history and literature into extracurricular courses for students to walk into the real world and help them improve their core competencies. The program will continue to assist parents and teachers in understanding the importance and meaning of extracurricular classes and accompanying children to enjoy learning.
The radio program, " 52 ideas of extracurricular classes" (五十二個戶外教育好點子) is launched from 5:20 p.m. to 6 p.m. every Wednesday on the National Education Radio (NER). Interested people can also listen to this radio program online: 國立廣播教育電台.
