Cross-cultural education symposium to kick off on July 29
National Taipei University of Education cooperates with Cathay Charity Foundation and the United Daily News to hold the 2014 Cross-cultural education symposium on July 29, inviting Ministry of Education, media and lecturers to join this activity. This symposium aims to discuss about the experiences of teaching for new immigrants, what’s the role that new immigrant plays in global economy and current status of new immigrants in our society to realize the development and innovative concepts for cross-cultural education.
Taiwan has been developing cultural education for years. National Taipei University of Education and Cathay Charity Foundation also have had the cooperation to solicit contributions for cross-cultural education on campuses across this island between April and July. There were five works of lecturers selecting for this event that they all had been visited the new immigrant students’ home country of mothers to experience the exotic cultures.
The host also noted that it will invite the top three lecturers of this contest to share their experiences in teaching for the symposium, aiming to let the lecturers to interact with each other, offer the new directions for further programs and cultivate more and more talents for new immigrant students in the near future.
