Beginning on April 17, The NT$6,000 Universal Cash for All is available to withdraw at post offices. Police stations around the country have increased on-site patrols while promoting anti-fraud messages to general public to increase public vigilance.

The first week after the post office opens to withdraw the NT$6,000 in cash at the counters is expected to be the peak for cash collection, according to the Chiayi City Police Bureau, First Precinct. On-site patrols have been strengthened, and anti-fraud awareness campaigns have been held. Additionally, the Xizhi Precinct of the NTPD strengthened publicity on prevention of fraudulent claims and fraud at 8 post offices within its jurisdiction.

The authorities warned the public that scammers frequently use current issues, like the recent " NT$6,000 Universal Cash for All," to trick individuals into handing over their personal information and valuables via text messages. The police also highlighted that neither emails nor text messages would be used by the government to notify the public that it will be getting general cash. Please DO NOT click on any suspicious website links linked to "Universal Cash" that you may come across. In order to prevent falling victim to scammers' ruses, one must stay calm when getting strange calls. Also, one can get assistance if necessary by dialing the 165 anti-fraud hotline or the 110 complaint hotline.
