Due to the recurrence of the Covid-19 Delta variant strain in different countries, the public is concerned whether the domestic level two alert will be adjusted after August 9th. Chen Shi-chung stated that the level two alert will be maintained from August 10 to August 23 because the epidemic is still under control and there are no related incidents. Because the observation time is still short; therefore, the nationwide level two alert will be maintained. Recently, different sectors of society expressed their opinions and actively discussed with relevant groups or concerned units.
