In this event, the staff of the district office led the participants to travel to shops such as “Liu Qiu Hai Xian Cheng (琉球海鮮城)”, “Ken Niu Cheng Niu Rou Tang (肯牛城牛肉湯)”, and “Gui Ren Hei Lun (歸仁黑輪)” by riding a bicycle. The new immigrants have tasted the braised pork knuckle noodles, beef soup and tempura and other authentic delicacies. It is hoped that new immigrants would be able to integrate into the Tainan community through the activities, and the culinary diplomacy would win the hearts and minds of foreigners and promote Taiwan’s food internationally.

The District Executive of Gueiren, Tainan City - Wei Wen Gui (魏文貴) stated that there is an increasing number of foreign engineers working in the Tainan Science Park. With the T-bike and Be-Bike bike-sharing stations set up in Gueiren, foreign nationals living here & tourists can choose a new mode of transportation.
