According to the Employment Status and Salary Market for College Students conducted by the Ministry of Labor, the contribution of the new labor pension system for workers aged 25-29 years old indicates that wages have been growing steadily in Pingtung County for the past five years with a 16.0% growth rate (from NT$25,463 in 2016 to NT$29, 549 in 2020). It is higher than the national growth rate (the national average contribution wages under labor pension in 2016 was NT$31,056 and NT$35,578 in 2020, a growth rate of 14.6%). Furthermore, based on the analysis of the summary of contribution wages under the new labor pension system, the wage growth rate for the most recent three years in Pingtung County is 8.47%, the top two highest growth rates in the nation. The dedication and hard work of the county government in promoting the local industry transformation is starting to work.
