The Sun Moon Lake Cycling, Music & Fireworks Festival (日月潭花火音樂嘉年華) takes place this year from October 5 to November 18. It lasts one month and includes weddings, bicycle rides around the lake, Sun Moon Lake Black Tea Culture Festival, and other events in addition to the fireworks and three major performances. In order to encourage visitors to visit Sun Moon Lake, Taiwan High Speed Rail has recently provided discounted tickets to the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village (九族文化村) when visitors purchase a high-speed rail ticket.

A lovely and romantic "Sun Moon Lake Wedding" will be held as part of this year's Sun Moon Lake Cycling, Music & Fireworks Festival beginning on October 5.
On October 14, "2023 Come! Bike Day" will take place. This year, there is a new “boat riding” challenge event in addition to the option to challenge around Sun Moon Lake on a bicycle. In this event, players will challenge around half of Sun Moon Lake on bicycles.

Additionally, from October 21 to 22, there will be "Sun Moon Lake Black Tea Culture Festival" where guests may partake in a variety of activities such as tea kneading, sample pastries, explore local agricultural goods, and learn about Thao and Hakka cultures. On October 21st in the evening, there will also be the first AI-integrated fireworks show. The 10th "Sun Moon Lake Marathon" will take place on October 29.

On November 4 and November 18, respectively, two performances will take place. The public is welcome to attend and take part in the events, which will also feature fireworks. According to the Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area Administration, free admission to the Formosan Aboriginal Cultural Village and the Sun Moon Lake Cable Car are currently offered through the end of December as long as you book a Taiwan high speed rail holiday round trip.
