As the COVID-19 infection cases continue to increase in multiple counties and cities in Taiwan,
the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) raised the epidemic warning to Level 3 across Taiwan from now on until May 28.
According to CECC, the Level 3 restrictions will be conducted starting on May 20, the public is urged to continue to abide by and cooperate with Level 3 epidemic prevention and control measures.
The CECC emphasized that it would adopt related responsive measures listed below under the nationwide epidemic alert.
Epidemic prevention standards are consistent across Taiwan, and related containment efforts performed by city and county governments will be coordinated and synchronized.
The CECC will invite all city and county governments to join a national epidemic prevention meeting every day.
The CECC will continue to increase the number of testing sites, quarantine hotels, group quarantine facilities, and designated and responding hospitals to ensure sufficient medical capacities across Taiwan and will provide resources to ensure the needs of city and county governments are met. The public is urged not to panic.
Here are nine major epidemic prevention guidelines for level-3 alert:
1.Wear a mask all the time when going out
2.Avoid unnecessary movement, activities or gatherings
3.Stop family gatherings of 5 people indoors or more than 10 people outdoors (Excluding those who live together) and social gatherings
4.Self-health monitoring (see a doctor if you have symptoms)
5.Business premises and public offices: implement crowd control, wear masks, and maintain social distancing
6.Business premises and workplace: Comply with the guidelines and the epidemic prevention regulations for corporate continuity operations, implement personal and workplace hygiene management, and initiate continuous business operations response measures (such as remote office, remote office, flexible working hours)
7.Dining venues: The real-link system, social distancing, partitions and other epidemic
prevention measures should be observed. Take out if you can't implement.
8.Wedding and funeral: We should implement the real-link system, social distancing and strengthen cleaning and disinfection
9.Public domain public transportation, strengthen cleaning and disinfection
