  • Covid-19 epidemic has not slowed down, Level 3 alert extended

The epidemic in Taiwan has not slowed down since the surge in May. The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC, 中央流行疫情指揮中心) announced that the Covid-19 level 3 alert was extended to July 12 (currently extended to July 26). Indoor venues remain closed, restaurants are limited to take-out, and the people are asked to work together to stabilize the epidemic.   • Avoid eating fried and high-sugar foods after vaccination

The Covid-19 vaccine is launched across Taiwan, and some people have side-effects after being vaccinated.   • Migrant workers are divided into cabins, and employers will be fined for violations

The Ministry of Labor (勞動部) announced that it would strengthen epidemic prevention measures for migrant workers. This includes the separation of the migrant workers in their workplaces and in their dormitories. Migrant workers of different employers cannot live together. In recent years, Taiwan has continuously strengthened its policies on the "recruitment of foreign professionals”. Recently, The Legislative Yuan (立法院) has passed amendments on the third reading, specifically for students who graduated from the top 500 universities in the world.
