According to the latest statistics, 1 out of 5 newly confirmed cases in the United States is infected with the COVID-19 Delta variant. Although restrictions have been lifted, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LA County DPH) announced that people must wear masks indoors.

From the latest statistics provided by the LA County DPH, half of the average weekly confirmed cases in June were the Delta variant. The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) pointed out 1 out of 10 cases last week was also the Delta variant. The LA County DPH reminds people to wear masks indoors even if they are also vaccinated.

Fully vaccinated people are safe enough from the COVID-19 Delta variant, however, those who received Pfizer or Moderna vaccines must receive 2 doses. 1 dose is not enough. Despite restrictions being lifted and the majority of the people are vaccinated, the public must continue to protect themselves to avoid any risk of infections.
