Brilliant Time bookshop will host a series of talks on "The Distance between Taiwanese and Foreigners" (台灣人與外國人的距離) from August 26 to September 22 as part of the Ministry of Culture's initiative to help Taiwan's mainstream population better comprehend foreigners living there. In all 12 talks, Taiwanese who have engaged with foreigners for a long time were also invited to give their thoughts in addition to encouraging new immigrants from a variety of nations to discuss their life experiences.

This series of talks, according to Mr. Chang (張正), the person in charge of the bookstore, invited social movement activists, field workers, academics, journalists, foreign affairs police, the second-generation immigrants, and new immigrants from nations, enabling the audience to learn more about foreigners who reside and work in Taiwan from various viewpoints.
