The Year of the Tiger is here! Tainan City arranges a sea of flowers and plants on the streets to welcome the New Year

(Taiwan Immigrants’ Global News Network) – During the Spring Festival, Tainan City Government (臺南市政府) has prepared various measures to welcome tourists and citizens to ensure that they feel joy and happiness in Tainan. The Public Works Bureau (工務局) has already launched the facade arrangement as early as New Year's Day. Around 123,000 budding flowers and plants have been planted in various important parts of Tainan City, such as on the major roads, rotundas, and streets, displaying colorful street views for the Spring Festival.

The Public Works Bureau arranged various flowers and shrubs at many important road sections for the Chinese New Year. The types of grass and flowers are petunia, bird's tail, lavender, malachite, flame cockscomb, four-season begonia, a bunch of red, and shrubs such as hibiscus, blue Star flower, margarita, golden bell flower, safflower jade hibiscus, Christmas red, etc. Using the method of multi-layer planting, new four-season plants and shrubs are planted, which complement the surrounding landscape, to enhance the visual richness, show the main avenue with the beautiful landscapes of Tainan, and achieve a truly beautiful new city.

Also, in designated areas of the Taiwan high-speed rail and large-area roads, the Public Works Bureau of Tainan City has planted more than 30,000 seasonal flower species such as sage, petunia, dianthus, malachite, and a bunch of red, colorful flowers.
