No eating & drinking on Taiwan Railway Trains & Taiwan High-Speed Rail Trains

Minister Wang mentioned that no eating & drinking is allowed for passengers riding on Taiwan Railway Trains, Taiwan High-Speed Rail Trains, buses, and ships. Exceptions include physiological needs such as drinking water, taking medicine, and breastfeeding, and one should put on a mask immediately right after drinking. However, individuals are allowed to eat and drink at stations with the prerequisites of maintaining a social distancing and placing partitions.

Those who violate the regulations and ignore reminders will be fined at least NT$3,000 and NT$15,000.

In response to the domestic resurgence of COVID-19 infections, the Interior Minister -Hsu Kuo-yung (徐國勇) announced that religious activities that are unable to maintain social distancing will be halted immediately to reduce the risk of community transmission. Religious activity organizers must implement contact tracing QR code scanning, temperature screening, environment cleaning & disinfecting, ensure social distancing and wear a mask.

Contact tracing QR code scanning must be implemented in restaurants

As shopping malls will be crowded during Chinese New Year, contact tracing and temperature screening must be implemented in restaurants, convenience stores, and shopping malls. Besides, the aforementioned businesses must frequently remind the public to follow the measures.

Companies hiring more than 50 migrant workers in Taoyuan need to conduct mass COVID-19 testing

Companies hiring more than 50 people will be assisted in contact tracing for the first round, and there will be plans to conduct COVID-19 testing for companies employing less than 50 people. Besides, each migrant worker needs to have an individual bed and the accommodation space needs to meet the standard of 3.6 square meters per person.
